RAILWAY TELECOMMUNICATIONS (Telekomunikacja Kolejowa Spółka z o.o.) came into being on 1st of October 2001 on the basis of Telecommunications and IT Department and its eight subordinated Telecommunications Divisions which are seated in Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, Gdańsk, Szczecin, Lublin, Wrocław and Katowice. Our Company's mission is provision of modern, high quality telecommunication services for the needs of railway companies, institutional and individual clients.
Telekomunikacja Kolejowa Sp. z o.o., State owned company, is one of the two polish telecommunication companies qualified and entered by the Government to the register of special economic - defense purpose companies. It enables the company to administer a safe telecommunication network.
Concentrated, highly qualified potential of the telecommunication specialists provide high quality services in telecommunication and telephony - national services, data transmission, digital lines, optical channels - national and international services, the internet access, consulting and advice.

Railway Telecommunications services

1. KOLPAK FR data transmission - the service is connecting the Client to data transmission network using Frame Relay protocol on the base of NORTEL equipment. The service allows to connect Client's locations at all places in Poland and also thanks to cooperation with EQUANT at almost all places in the world. Transmission speed: 64 kbit/s (630 zł), 128 kbit/s (940 zł), 256 kbit/s (1150 zł), 512 kbit/s (1300 zł), 1 Mbit/s (negotiable), 2 Mbit/s (negotiable).
2. KOLPAK X.25 data transmission - the service is Client's data transmission at all places in Poland through KOLPAK X.25 packet data transmission network which includes 300 nodes and 1082 lines which connect about 3000 ports and more than 300 cities.
3. Analogue circuits lease - the service is leasing of analogue circuits of standard technical parameters which is offered on the basis of copper cable network at all places in Poland. Copper cables conductors ranging from 0,5 mm to 1,2 mm in diameter allow apply xDSL technology (access 550 zł).
4. Digital channels lease - the service is making bit transparent circuit between two indicated points available to the client with constant speed transfer range from n x E1 (2 Mbit/s) through E3 (34 Mbit/s), STM-1 (155 Mbit/s), STM-4 (622 Mbit/s), STM-16 (2,5 Gbit/s), up to Lambda (2,5 Gbit/s) in national and international traffic.
   
   Railway Telecommunications guarantees full service realization which includes:
   
   • digital channel setting up and activation
   • terminal equipment installation
   Access: 64-128 kbit/s - 1200 zł, 192-1024 kbit/s - 2000 zł, more than 2 Mbit/s - negotiation
5. 5. Optical channels lease - the service is leasing of single transparent "Lambda" that is optical channels in DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing). In practise, it enables the Client to activate max. STM 16 transmission system on leased "Lambda". The system built by Railway Telecommunications is capable of commercing 32 Lambdas - 2,5 Gbit/s transmission speed each at Client's request (access - negotiation).
6. Safe Internet (2 FireWalls) access - internet access is possible with the help of: dial-up switched circuits, stationary circuits, ISDN circuits and local networks. The type of access depends on current technical features in specific regions and possibility of setting up a connection to a subscriber.

7. Creating VPN (Virtual Private Networks) - virtual private networks technology allows the Clients to connect distant local networks over public networks and at the same time ensures safety of the transferred information.
8. Telephony - the access to railway telecommunication network is possible through telephone stations (access 300 zł) and ISDN telephone stations (access 700 zł).
9. Call Center - the service is providing Interactive Contact Center to the Client using communication channels, such as telephone and the internet (www, e-mail, chat, web collaboration).
